Last week (April 9-15,2006) I began work on my first niche site (at least I hope it will be).
I am a full time photographer, so I thought photos might be a good place to start with as I want to develope niche sites. I have a lot of experience on the subject.
I had already bought the domain (photographybyjet.com) long ago so I decided to use it for this project instead of a site about my photography.
I spent most of the week writing the content. After I wrote the content (just to start) I entered it in to Microsoft FrontPage. Frontpage is very easy to work with and I found it really fast to set up the pages. I was able to format all the content (just text at this point) and set up the links through the whole site in a very short time.
You will notice that photographybyjet.com I have called Project 2
Where Is Project 1? This blog is really Project 1. I’ll be blogging regularly from now on as I work on the different niche projects I have in mind. I would have started earlier, but some technical problems (which I’ll get to in a few days of blogging) prevented me. Also, both sites have gone online at almost the same time so it was a little hard for me to hand both (I’m a little new at this). It will take me a few days to get caught up now that the technical problems seem to be taken care of.
Next time I’ll talk about how I chose my web host why I chose the one I did
In the meantime you can check out the site and you will see that it has a few problems and still needs a bit of work.
