Semiologic just rocks!

What do you think the advantage is of using themes? As I want to make everything easier for myself (time/technological impairment, on occasion), I don’t want to hate the way my website looks on account of function. I’ve been trying to explore themes- so any tips are extremely helpful as I look to build mine.

Love semiologic. I use just the basic theme (note the $295) and I’ve customized it to exactly what I need it for. I haven’t played with customizing the skin, as I’m a “content over design” mindset. I think the designs they give you work just fine.

I have installed it onto 4 of my blogs now, and it will for sure be the theme of choice for my next blogs.

My question is this: What is the major difference between the regular and pro? The items listed above aren’t enough to get me to buy the $295. Let me know your thoughts! Thanks

@David Lee: David, I’ve been using the paid version for a few years now and think it is definitely worth the money. Denis really does a great job and works hard to make sure it works.

Finally, a theme that is so easy to use and customize. The fact that the interface has more of a point and click aspect to it as opposed to HTML code goes a long way in my book. Trying to learn html or convert everything you want to customize over to html code is a royal pain for someone like myself…a marketer, not a techie. I’m simply using the free version which right now has everything I need to be successful with my blog…which is really more about branding myself as opposed to a commerce site.

I’ve just started using this theme on one of my blogs, and I am thoroughly impressed at the easy of use and features it’s packed with. I managed to turn my blog from a regular blog, to a wordpress CMS powered site in a couple of hours.
