What Do You Need To Make Money From Adsense?

Google tells what you need to get approved for AdSense.

Google says you don’t need a Website!

I got a kick out of the last sentence in the quote below. I have underlined it and bolded it for emphasis ( I know it’s bad form). Make sure you go to the AdSense blog and read the rest of the paragraph – I took it a bit out of context. Again, Inside AdSense is something you should read and subscribe to if you are doing Internet Marketing – and it can be fun too!

Before you apply to AdSense

Getting started with AdSense is easy, but when reviewing the applications we get, we’ve noticed a few common pitfalls. To help make sure your application is approved the first time around, ask yourself the following questions below before submitting.
Do I have what I need to apply?

  • Website: To display Google ads, you need administrative access to the site you submit for AdSense in order to place our JavaScript ad code on your site. Adding the Google code to your site’s source code will enable you to show ads, search boxes, and referral units on your pages.
If you don’t have a website of your own, that doesn’t mean you can’t participate in AdSense

Inside AdSense: Before you apply to AdSense

The section at the bottom of the page on pay-to sites may be important for many bloggers.

Many bloggers get involved in traffic generation programs that may go against AdSense TOS. There is a bit of gray area that can get you into trouble if you have AdSense. Make sure you are comfortable with what you decide to use.

You should also look at alternatives to AdSense.

There are many that make more money without using AdSense on their sites. Although, AdSense is very easy to use. Having alternatives is also a good back up in case something does go wrong.

It can be fun to poke fun at Google.

But it is also good to listen to what they have to say if you want to work with them. If you read much of this blog, you will know I do not always agree with Google and I am concerned that they are becoming a monopoly and censor. I still must admit that they do seem to provide a great product.

Many use Blogger to do this and it is very effective if you know how to get traffic. Then you can move on to get your own domain and hosting.

I think that is one of Google’s recommendations later in their post.
